In no particular order, here are some of my favourite places I’ve been so far.

If you want to hear about these places in more detail, check out my blog

  • Taipei, Taiwan

Taiwan in general is extremely beautiful. I’m not sure if it’s because I’d heard people talk about it or because I’d met some great people from there, but I’ve been desperate to go for months and it did not disappoint. It has such a great mix of everything; nature, good food, cityscapes and more. Plus there’s such a charming feeling everywhere you go.

  • Seoul, South Korea

My favourite thing about Seoul and South Korea in general is the amount of spaces they offer for groups and friends. In the UK, most of the activities to do are drink so it’s nice to see all the public spaces, food places centred around sharing food and of course the famous karaoke. Not to mention all the amazing other factors about Seoul, the vibrant cityscape, stunning palaces and amazing local nature.

  • Vilnius, Lituania

Vilnius is an artsy city in Lithuania, with a vibrant atmosphere and colourful architecture. It felt like there was so much to explore with so little time so it’s definitely on my list of places to return back to.

  • Trieste, Italy

Trieste had a charm to it that I absolutely fell in love with. It’s a port city by the border of Slovenia. There was a fantastic sense of authenticity here. Not to mention the amazing food; Italian with extra influences from Austro-Hungary and Slovenia.

  • Ha Giang, Vietnam

Most people have heard of the Ha Giang loop right? An iconic motorbike loop around the Ha Giang mountain range of Northern Vietnam. The sights are absolutely breathtaking and the experience completely unmatched.

  • Bratislava, Slovakia

I have been to Bratislava twice now and would absolutely go again. It’s such a lovely place to explore and admire the architecture and local life. Also an amazing nightlife.

  • Tallin, Estonia

Tallin isn’t a very well known city when it comes to Eastern Europe or Europe in general, but that doesn’t mean its not filled with all the amazing things that a European city has to offer and more. Definitely one of my top places to return to asap.

  • Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This place was such a refreshing change from all the places I visited when travelling Eastern Europe. Being one of the 3 Muslim countries in Europe, you could definitely see the different influences in architecture and general layout of the city. Lots of fantastic markets and places to eat and of course visit the famous bridge.

  • Varna, Bulgaria

Varna hosts an amazing array of things to do. We came in off Season and still wished we had booked more time there. Great parks, beaches, food, thermal baths and activities available in the area.

  • Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is another place I have been to more than once and would happily go again and again. The nightlife is amazing, the architecture is stunning, there’s so much to do and also the views of the whole city are iconic.
